For more than three decades, Zuiderplastics has been active in the production of plastic products using the "blow moulding" technique, and is one of Europe’s main suppliers of blown plastic products.
The process of blowing plastics into shape is a major production method in plastic design which enables the creation of precisely tailored hollow shapes in various thermoplastics.
We are able to realize very complex products thanks to our extensive knowledge of plastics and our vast network of raw material suppliers and mould makers.
What’s more, the blow moulding production method is very cost-effective for smaller numbers.
At Zuiderplastics, a team of skilled technicians support you from design to finished product.
You send us a sketch or drawing of the product or part. After a possible optimization of your design we can provide a clear breakdown of the investment for the mould, and production costs.
If required we can provide a three dimensional scan of your existing product (often metal) to translate it into a plastic version.
Using the plastic bladder technique it is possible to engineer a wide range of technical plastic products. As a rule we produce in Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE) or Polyamide (PA).
These are often semi-transparent, though production is also possible in a colour of your choice.
Zuiderplastics also processes plastic compounds, where the properties of the compound are appropriate to the subsequent use of the finished product.
Once the product is blown it can be delivered to you unprocessed. However, Zuiderplastics also offers several post-processing techniques in-house, such as CNC milling, punching, cutting, plastic welding etc. This way you receive a complete product, ready for further installation or sale.
All our products are custom made. You are the owner of the aluminum blow mould. Products from this mould are, of course, produced only for you.

This technique is a plastic production method for thermoplastics, mostly used to create hollow shapes. We are surrounded by examples of it - bottles, tanks and hoses are all manufactured using the blow moulding technique.
The blow moulding process consists of three phases:
The thermoplastic polymer is heated and extruded into a tubular form.
This softened plastic tube is then clamped in a two piece aluminum mould and blown against the wall of the mould using compressed air.
the plastic is then cooled by cooling the mould with water. Here it takes the form of the inside of the mould. The product is removed and possibly finished mechanically or manually.
The advantages of the blow technique include short cycle times, good detailing and the production of hollow shapes from single pieces.
Blow moulding is a very effective process for mass production but is also quickly deployable for smaller production runs because of its relatively low mould cost. Basically, all thermoplastics can be processed using this technique.
